We are often asked to create fencing for private commissions.
This project was a private commission for a garden in East Tynedale that required a visual screen on the landscape.
The fence was made with 2 years old cleft willow to compliment and add height to an existing dry stone wall.
Standing 2 metres high and 60 metres long, the fence was made of willow woven between locally milled larch posts. This was a joint project with SNCG Ecoscapes ltd.
Hazel and Willow Hurdles
Hurdles provide a good windbreak and a visual screen. They are usually solid, but can be made with gaps in to use as bird hides or to grow climbing plants up. Low hurdles can be used for border edging whilst circular hurdles are perfect for surrounding herbaceous perennials.
